PCF STYLE is a free online fashion magazine which brings the world's fashion scenes back home.
It is an exquisite read for all fashion lovers
The first post for BEAUTY will not be an information post. This will be like a forum post and I hope that readers can help by giving some constructive comments about the topic
Today, The topic will be on the brand Skin Food (Hangul: 스킨푸드) which is a South Korean cosmetics manufacturer with headquarters in Seoul.
I suppose most of you would have at least heard about it if not seen this shop before especially since there are quite a number of SKIN FOOD outlets in Singapore.
(Bugis Junction, Raffles city,Parkway Parade, Square2, Far East Plaza, Ang Mo Kio Hub, and Jurong Pt which will be opening in a few days time)
So why the sudden talk about Skin Food? It's all thanks to a dear friend of mine who is in love with its soap. He brought me into this outlet which I have otherwise not step in before and started busy looking for his "beloved soap" or it is bathing foam? I cant really remember.
OUT of STOCK! hahah and he became "gloomy"
Why is it that I have not stepped into this shop before after it has entered the Singapore skincare industry after such a long while?
My impression of SKINFOOD is that it is rather expensive as compared to other korean brands such as Missha and Faceshop. By the way I am those typical Singaporeans who like those cheap yet good stuff. Somehow or rather I will try not to go for those brands at the cosmectic counters in shopping centres. Cause I believe that there are definitely cheaper brands which can produce the same results, thus to me they are not so value for money. Dont believe me? Go try it out!
Back to the topic. I have decided to check out SKINFOOD and to find out if their products are really worth the money and the reason why my friend got sightly upset when he was told that the item her wanted was out of stock?
The below are informations which I got from SKINFOOD's Singapore website
"The company was established in 1957.
Skin Food has become a well-known cosmetic and skincare brand in many countries outside South Korea such as Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and many others.
The appealing factor of Skin Food is the use of natural food and produce in its original form as ingredients in their products. In addition, the use of natural ingredients also plays a significant role in their success today. Their products range from makeup, skin care, body and hair products."
WOW imagine you have "white chocolate that softly melts away in your mouth, and yogurt, mixed with sweet and sour fruits" Yes the mere thought of these makes my mouth watery but on 2nd thoughts, will ants come crawling all over me? cause I am too sweet? ahaha(I am not talking nonsense, this is something which I am really wondering)
Korean actress Sung Yu Ri was featured in Skin Food Korea commercials. So who is Sung Yu Ri????
datam....
Name: 성유리 / Sung Yu Ri (Seong Yu Ri)
Profession: Actress and singer
Birthdate: 1981-Mar-03
erm... I realised many korean actors and actresses are borned in 1981 (Kim Jae Won, Jang Nara etc)
before I go out of track...yah Sung Yu Ri is 27years old and look at her face!she still looks so young and she seems poreless..(yes some of you must be thinking photoshop can do wonders but you should look at real koreans' complexion.. They are damn good)
Back to Skin Food...
Skin Food's logo, as seen on all of their products, is a guardian angel. The logo was designed to convey the message to their customers of the purity and goodness in their products. In addition, the logo also connote that Skin Food is like a guardian angel sent to protect and carefully guard your skin towards a healthier skin.
Is SKIN Food products really that angelic? Please voice your views!Comments!
